Wichita State University, home of Shocker Athletics, is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Director of Multimedia within its NCAA Division I athletic program. This position reports to the Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Strategic Communications. This is a full-time position with full benefit package and competitive salary.
The position works closely with all members of the Athletic Department, including coaching staff, as well as members of the University community. Key responsibilities of this position will be enhancement and expansion of Wichita State Athletics' video production efforts to engage fans and other potential key stake holders. Methods include but are not limited to live webstreaming (ShockerVision), promotional and recruiting videos, etc. The Director of Multimedia will also further develop initiatives in Multimedia, Social Media and New Media. This will include recruitment, training and evaluating student teams to assist in productions and live webstream events.
A Master's degree in a related field; or a Bachelor's degree and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree is required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated successful experience working in an intercollegiate or professional sports environment producing video content; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce high quality video content in a time-sensitive environment; ability to establish and maintain working relationships with various constituencies; working knowledge of various video hardware and software, including, or comparable to NewTek TriCaster video production system, Daktronics Show Control, FinalCut Pro editing software, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
