The Activities Director plans and implements musical activities and experiences for the facility residents which fulfill the physical, mental and psychosocial needs and interests of the residents. The Activities Director assists the residents in achieving a different state of mind and developing positive physical, cognitive, emotional and psychological skills with the help of such musical activities and experiences.
This position reports to the Community Executive Director and the facilities residents.
Provides information for the Quality Assurance Committee's monthly and weekly meetings. Documents and reports potential and actual issues that affect quality care and services.
Enriches the social life of the residents through musical activities and events as part of mental and physical health care.
Directs and participates in instrumental and vocal music activities designed to meet patients' physical and psychological needs, such as solo or group singing, music listening, attending concerts, or rhythmic and other creative music activities.
Plans and implements activities to meet residents' specific needs, including group and individual participation.
Documents activities as required by State and Federal regulations.
Participates in the residents' plan of care, assessments and other updates.
Delivers the residents' mail, newsletters and other facility information.
Coordinates the recruitment, retention and involvement of volunteers to work with residents.
Coordinates the community's involvement in the facility and may participate in external community events.
Monitors personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal regulations including: bloodborne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
Monitors personal and staff compliance with Residents' Rights.
Performs other duties as required.
Applicants must be willing and able to embrace and inspire in others the facilities purpose, guiding virtues and commitment to excellence. Applicants for this position must be energetic, enthusiastic and creative. Applicants should have working knowledge of video and audio equipment. Applicants must also be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Applicants must be comfortable with public speaking and singing. Applicants must be willing and able to manage the assigned budget. This position also requires decorating the facility for holidays and events. This is a somewhat physical position since it requires frequent walking and extended standing.
Must be able to work some evenings and/or weekends as needed. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
