Job Title: Engineering Coordinator
Location: The Coleman Company, Inc.- Wichita, Kansas
Relocation: Relocation is not offered for this position.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities: The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support to the Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs team, Design Engineering Teams and Design Services. Additionally, will assist in many aspects of the New Product Development cycle. The primary accountabilities include:
Complete Bill of Material (BOM) templates for new product ECNs for domestically made products, including coolers, burning appliances, and potentially any other categories that complete final product assembly in the US.
Write ECNs to correct existing BOMs or update BOMs as required for product updates.
Work with Project Engineers to assist in marking up drawings and writing ECNs to update and maintain engineering drawings.
Document and provide details for prototypes and product samples used in line reviews and sales meetings. The requests for samples will be initiated by Product Management and/or sales. The details to be documented will include product description, component colors, component changes, requested delivery date, shipping address and contact information and any additional information needed to meet the sample requests.
Provide products and components necessary to the model shop to complete sample requests. This will include ordering products from inventory, working with operations to make samples, and obtaining the necessary components to complete the samples as requested.
Maintain the product storage area to have current samples available for review.
Support packaging engineering in writing ECNs required for creating and maintaining Document Info Records (DIR) for the packaging die lines, artwork, and POS artwork in SAP.
Write purchase requisitions for prototypes and track progress of prototypes. Have goods receipts completed as prototypes are received and submit invoices for approval and payment.
Carry out all regulatory reporting and payment requirements, as directed.
Maintain regulatory data systems for managing and distributing Product requirements, Safety Data Sheets, Product Certificates, law labels, etc.
Qualifications
Required
Qualifications: In order to perform the accountabilities of this positions, candidates must be able to demonstrate:
Legal authorization to work in the US.
A High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
Proficient computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Proven communication skills both verbal and written.
The ability to maintain confidentiality.
The ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
The willingness and ability to relocate to Wichita, KS, if not already located in the area, without company assistance.
Preferred
Qualifications: In addition to the above requirement candidates may be able to demonstrate:
Experience in New Product Development.
Experience using SAP.
