Terminal Operator

In support of our growth, we are seeking to hire a Terminal Operator, to ensure a smooth flow of cement to the customer via truck in a safe and efficient manner. This position is responsible for loading trucks without spillage in a timely manner, completing each load to the customers' specification and using the designated silos for loading trucks as instructed. The incumbent selected will unload railcars, continuously monitor the unloading process and safely operate manual unloading gates, air valves and blowers.
This position is also responsible for adhering to performing routine maintenance of terminal buildings, railcars, equipment and grounds. The candidate must adhere to company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner, clean all areas of the terminal and grounds, as well as obtain daily and weekly samples.
Skills the candidate of this position must have are:
o Must have a high school diploma or GED
o Must be able to lift 75 - 100 pounds on a regular and repeated basis
o Must be able to work at heights up to 150 feet, in both the extreme heat and cold
o Must be able to work in an environment that can be enclosed, noisy and dusty
o Must be able to read and comprehend safety and operating instructions
o Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass
oAbility to work alone at night without immediate supervision
