HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY)

As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-09, you will serve as the senior personnel NCO and has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of personnel management and administration. Serve as an advisor to the commander and staff on the brigade human resources (HR) program. Assist in the preparation for and executes command level inspections of subordinate units in the area of personnel and administration. Accomplish or review a variety of military HR transactions including appointments, enlistments, flagging actions, reassignments, separations, promotions, duty assignments, transfers, medical evaluations, security clearances, awards and decorations, retirements, etc., and forwards actions to a higher level military personnel office. Implement the Enlisted Promotion System (EPS) at the command level. Control the organization's medical readiness programs. Prepare and forward required documentation for officer promotion packets for required state and federal board actions. Provide guidance to organizational personnel and dependents concerning benefits and entitlements, i.e. career progression, bonus programs, educational opportunities, retirement, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience:
Experiences gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Must have a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data. Experienced in operating a computer and using varied computer programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
