Assign work priorities for subordinates to ensure expertise in all phases of claims processing. Ensure all cases are processed to the benefit of veterans and dependents. Recommend appropriate action based on data addressing service concerns. Plan to assign workload to subordinates ranging from entry base to senior administrative with final authority review over the work product. Address work issues to ensure consistency of ratings are correct per guidelines. Responsible for assigning special projects, completing systematic analyses of operations, support of team's efforts in achieving goals of service. Develop performance standards, interviews, recommendations for reassignments or promotions, and resolution on disciplinary actions. Maintain effective labor/management relationships and accomplishing personnel management duties in accordance with applicable laws, policies, labor/management agreement, and employment opportunities, laws, directives and regulations Specialized
Experience:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) functioning in either a capacity of performance management or workload management; (2) conducting evaluations and reviews, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, of employee performance and make recommendations concerning employee advancement, and (3) recommend specific training needs by observing performance and workload management due to program changes. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
