The Development Manager is responsible for fundraising, developing and maintaining strategic relationships with external partners, public relations, contract management, and oversight of volunteer and in-kind donation programs. Major
Responsibilities:
oDevelop an annual fundraising plan with specific and measurable goals and objectives for the development of restricted and unrestricted funds. oCultivate new individual donors, ensuring appropriate donor stewardship. oAssess and identify local foundations, corporations, and other philanthropic institutions as potential funding sources. Develop and maintain effective relationships to maximize IRC's fundraising opportunities. oIdentify and solicit sponsorship for IRC events and programs. oWrite grant proposals to private foundations and other appropriate entities in collaboration with the Executive Director and Program Manager oOversee the production and use of marketing materials (newsletters, publications, sponsorship, press materials, and web presence). oDevelop and maintain strong media relationships. oRepresent the IRC both internally and externally though conference participation, speaking engagements and related activities. oProvide oversight of volunteer and in-kind donation programs. oEnsure timely and accurate compliance with all reporting requirements. oManage a small team of staff in accordance with IRC's People Manager Standards. oComply with all policies, procedures and protocols of the agency. oOther related duties as assigned. Job Requirements:
oUndergraduate degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Development; or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant area such as Fundraising, Development, or MBA preferred. oMinimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible professional experience, a significant portion of which should include program management, fundraising, special events, proposal writing and other resource development activities. oDemonstrated record of cultivating successful relationships with foundations and other relevant entities. oDemonstrated ability to develop successfully funded grant proposals. oProven ability to conduct research through various sources to target and locate potential sources of funding. oPrior supervisory experience strongly preferred. oOutstanding communications, organizational, leadership, multi-taking and team building skills with the proven ability to promote productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced team environment. oDemonstrated ability to work successfully in a multicultural environment. oFluency in English required; bilingual ability is desired. oProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce. oAbility and willingness to work non-traditional hours including occasional weeknights and weekends as necessary.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
