These are select accounts (sites/plants) where a proactive approach will be taken to connect the customer to the overall KES value proposition to yield profitable long-term growth for our organization and increased value for the customer. A Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and driving solutions and profitable growth for our partners through defining and implementing strategies for their assigned Key Accounts leveraging all of KES and Koch capabilities. This is a highly visible role critical to our success as ET&S, connecting our key customer vision and needs to all product and services (all product groups and all types of support including new equipment, aftermarket, installation and support services, etc.) in order to create a mutually beneficial Preferred Partnership.The ideal candidate for the Key Account Manager role is a contribution motivated Principled Entrepreneur who will serve as a change agent leading the work of understanding our customers vision, challenges, and opportunities so that we may maximize commercial effectiveness through Preferred Partnerships.In this role, the Key Account Manager is expected to travel up to 50% of their time and is ideally based in a dense industrial geography (i.e., California, Texas & Louisiana Gulf Coast).What You Will Do In Your RoleAs a KES leader, build and apply the MBM culture, connecting all actions and strategies to our VisionUnderstand Key Accounts vision, strategies, and pain points to maximize commercial effectivenessFocus on building long-term relationships and become a Preferred Partner to your Key Accounts. Ensure continuous customer engagement; drive direct and frequent customer interaction to understand and represent the voice of customer.Develop plans for ensuring we build relationships at Key Account sites with key decision makers and leaders (e.g. plant managers, plant leadership teams, key SMEs, project and operations influencers).Develop and own short-term and long-term strategies for Key Accounts (those customer's sites/plants where KES can supply holistic OneSource solutions that will yield profitable long-term growth), including profit and revenue targets for all KES products and solutions.Connect and collaborate with all KES stakeholders working with the Key Accounts (new and aftermarket commercial teams, KSPS teams, Strategic Accounts Directors and others as applicable) to achieve successful implementation of the developed strategy consistently leveraging economic thinking.Be accountable for ensuring the right roles are defined and clear cadence and purpose is achieved for customer-KES interactions to drive Key Account specific strategyEnsure profitable growth and be accountable for delivering Key Account resultsPartner and actively collaborate with other customer facing organizations within Koch and KES, delivering market strategies and sharing information (customer value drivers, trends and overall market intelligence)The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
Background in engineering and technical sales focused in the Downstream refining and petrochemical industryDemonstrated capability to develop leadership level relationships at multiple refining and petrochemical industrial facilitiesTrack record of growing a sales territory providing technical solutions that create win-win outcomesExperience effectively collaborating with commercial, operations, and management teams internally and externally to identify mutually beneficial opportunities for partnership and growthDemonstrated success to apply economic thinking and negotiate mutually beneficial commercial outcomes with counterpartiesWilling to travel 50% Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidates knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
