Summary:
Business Systems Analysts are responsible for the development and management of business, organizational, and/or operational requirements as well as overseeing the design, development, and launching of business systems in support of core organization functions and business processes.
The business analyst elicits, analyzes, validates, and documents business requirements.
The business analyst helps the project team identify the solution that meets the defined requirements.
Solutions often include a systems development component but may also consist of process improvement or organizational change.
They will also assist with system issues by generating and compiling reports based on user feedback and providing probable causes and possible solutions.

Responsibilities:
Lead the gathering of business needs for medium complexity projects.
Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to specifications with little to some direction and oversight.
Include detailed and concise descriptions of business and technical requirements.
This effort includes considerations for regulatory, business, user, functional and non-functional requirements.
The documentation should reflect as-is and to-be states of the business area.
Define, organize and schedule requirements management activities within the scope of an overall project plan to be executed on time and on budget.
Lead the design of solutions for medium complexity projects through interactions with the business and technical staff.
Collaborate with both the business and IT technical staff in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
Conduct structured analysis of business process and data flows, using various modeling techniques to support the text-based requirements, help validate requirements, and organize information into coherent ideas.
The most common types of business analysis models include business models, process models and mapping, data models, and workflow models (some tools:
use-case diagramming, ERD, functional decomposition, data flows).
Participate in business process re-engineering.
Understand business process and data flow within applications for business areas supported.
Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Conduct structured walkthroughs with users using workflow diagrams.
Participate in the development of proposed solutions and assist in the development of financial analysis.
Develop test scripts, test plans and scenarios.
Test solution against business and technology requirements.
Plan assigned activities, providing input to an IT Manager in producing detailed project plans and cost analysis.
Report on project progress by communicating project status to inform an IT Manager of actual achievement.
Promote departmental standards and procedures by contributing to and complying with published standards and procedures to ensure the quality of our information systems.
Provide presentations by preparing clear and well-organized material with the appropriate level of detail to facilitate departmental or inter-departmental communication.
Comply with applicable corporate and company policies, including Access Control and Change Management.

EDUCATION/
Experience:
oBachelor's Degree required in Information Technology or related fieldoMinimum of 2 years of IT or relative experience is required.
QUALIFICATONS:
oIT experience specifically in business process analysis and design.
oStrong business acumen and business process knowledge.
oExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
oPossesses good organizational and time management skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
