Summary:
To functional test and repair electrical, electronic, and communication systems during final assembly ofproduction aircraft.
Job
Responsibilities:
oWorks from airplane orders, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, inspection records,standard shop practices, oral and written instructions to functional test a variety of standard andoptional electrical and electronic systems under minimum supervision.
o May remove or install components and wiring for systems such as radios, altimeters,transponders, autopilots, automatic direction finders and weather radar.
o Load system software and databases and configuring as required.
oFunctional test systems using a variety of standard test equipment such as resistance andcapacitance units, field strength meters, volt-ohmmeters, ammeter, oscilloscope.
oUses variety of hand tools to adjust or restore systems to proper operation according to acceptedshop procedures, engineering and inspection requirements.
oMay guide or assist 3-5 employees with troubleshooting to resolution mechanical and electricalsystems.
oResponsible for quality of own work.
oPerforms other related duties as required.

Education:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Musthave knowledge of electrical and electronic principles use of test equipment, and ability to interpretschematic drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
At least one year formal training in fundamentalelectricity and electronics preferred.
Required to have knowledge of systems and shop application of testequipment.
Must complete Textron Aviation requirements for driving company vehicles.
Experience:
3-5 years diversified aircraft experience including wire bundle routing and installation.
Demonstrate theability to read and understand schematic drawings, basic electrical fundamentals, and the use of multimeters.
