The selected candidate will be a team member of an IT Application
services
capability located in Wichita, KS. This role will have responsibilities to support, document and evaluate applications and processes by utilizing project
management
to deliver solutions that innovate and improve efficiencies.
Key
Responsibilities:
Act as strategic partner with customers and users
Able to tailor communication to audience level
Able to respectfully challenge customers to think about different options - comfortable providing them with options rather than just perform what they request
Work to understand changing business needs and how technology can assist
Work with software vendors on integration design, system implementations, and coordinating projects
Assist in design, setup, and documenting application configurations
Participate in technical design sessions, working with technical resources, to provide insight during solution development
Management of small to mid-size project including coordination of multiple technical resources and vendors, and escalation of concerns or roadblocks to leadership team
Use formal project management process and tools for new applications/projects
Look for optimization of business process
Be forward-thinking and identify gaps of requests customers want today and how that may impact future decisions
Connect customer to impacts of decisions - Don't be an order-taker, help them find the best solution
Gather detailed requirements and translate business needs for the developer
Good communication as it relates to more of an agile process - bridge between the customer and developer / vendor
Work with customer documenting As-Is and To-Be processes and drive vendor design and execution
Provide ad hoc data queries or reports to the business for analysis
Work Experience, Skills, and Education Required:

years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
Strong customer focus with the ability to work with users on defining needs, addressing issues and answering questions
Well organized and able to prioritize, organize, and coordinate simultaneous tasks/projects
Strong initiative, ownership, accountability, and a self-starter with the ability lead projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible, adaptable approach; goal and action oriented
Strong conceptual, analytical critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
Preferred:

years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
5
years of project management experience in IT
Experience developing test plans and scenarios
Experience working with reporting technologies
Proven experience working with complex systems and the solution development life cycle
Experience authoring detailed business requirement and technical specification documents
Experience with use case development and testing coordination
Experience with process development and documentation
Experience applying operational excellence methodologies
ITIL certification
PMP Certification
Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CIS, CS or related field is preferred
