Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills with a proven track record of success creating value through continuous improvement
Leadership skills with a proven ability to deliver value for the business
Knowledge of process safety and PSM
Knowledge of process control
Bachelor degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution or 15 years operations leadership in the manufacture of ammonia
Have preference for experience in
Ammonia manufacturing
Experience successfully implementing operational reliability management systems
Root cause facilitation skills
Continuous improvement project management experience
Bachelors degree in chemical engineering
Excellent opportunity
You will be the manager of all production in this ammonia plant in a smaller Kansas town. You will report to the plant manager and will be over a total of about 30 people through 4-5 direct supervisors. Specific responsibilities include the following: Developing and leading the operations team to ensure the safe and reliable operation of plant assets Maintaining operational excellence in process safety, personal safety, environmental compliance, product quality and other applicable areas of compliance Championing the company philosophy/culture Contributing to the strategic planning efforts and ensuring achievement of the long term business goals for the facility Ensuring effective implementation, use and application of operations focused reliability systems, tools and measures to create value and achieve goals Providing leadership and acting as a role model to foster employee engagement and cultural changes needed to reach best in class operational performance
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
