Asan Outside Sales Representative, youwill play a pivotal role in the continued stabilityand growth of our organization, by serving as a front-line representative of the Cox brand. In this role, you sellvideo, voice, data and home security services toresidential customers within assigned territory comprised of multiple dwellingunits (MDU). May perform basic installations as well as auditing to driveproduct penetration and revenue growth.
TheOutside Sales Representative's (Direct Sales) performance is critical to Cox's achievement of department and companyPrimary Service Unit (PSU) growth and net gain objectives.

PrimaryResponsibilities and Essential Functions
Builds and maintains positiverelationships with MDU property management and leasing staff and regularlyfollows up to ensure Cox products and services are favorably presented toprospective tenants.
Partners directly with MDU propertymanager/leasing staff in designated territories to drive maximum productpenetration and revenue growth. Serves as a sales presence at community orcompany events as required, interacting with current and potential customer.
Generates and retains PSUs through theacquisition of and retention of customers by using Cox trained skill sets,programming and technical expertise, and makes the appropriate recommendationsfor services using consultative sales skills. Implements effective closingtechniques to ensure sales goals are achieved.
Serves as primary contact for MDUcommunities, maintaining sales literature supplies and/or any basic supplies.
Strategically partners with NewBusiness Development Account Executives and Account Managers to increase MDUPSU penetration numbers and customer satisfaction.
Through various networking tactics,identifies and contacts customers moving into MDU and makes salespresentations.
Builds customer loyalty byeffectively resolving any/all customer issues and differentiating Cox productsfrom those of our competitors and communicating those differences effectively.
Maintains client satisfaction andtakes ownership throughout the sales cycle.
Performs end to end order entrythrough provided technology.
Cold canvasses in assigned territoryand makes sales presentation to non-subscribers and existing subscribers forupgrades.
Disconnects cable service at tap fornon-customers as necessary.
Creates and maintains successfulinterdepartmental relationships.
Participates in team sales blitzes,conversions, and new releases; including weekend and evening sales events.
Performs audits within assignedterritory to reduce and eliminate theft of service to drive incremental PSUgrowth.
Completes special projects and/orstatus reports as requested.
Introduces, markets and sells anynew services.
Facilitates collection on bad debtaccounts, picks up and returns customer equipment.
Updates and reports on all salesactivities in assigned territories, nodes or geographical areas.
May contact customers throughvarious lead portals and disposition outcome.
Works evenings and weekends tomaximize customer contact.
Conducts all business in an ethicalmanner as outlined in the Channel Sales Standards of Performance and Conduct.
Attends and participates in all scheduledteam meetings.
Maintains current job knowledgethrough completion of on-going training opportunities, satisfactory skillsassessment scores, and attainment of job related certifications, includingannual certification renewal/update as required.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Required
HS diploma, GED orrelevant work experience
1 year of experiencepreferred in related field (i.e. Marketing,Sales, Sales Operations, etc.)
Requires proficient knowledgeof technical applications and tools.
Excellent interpersonal,presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teamsthroughout organization
Ability to work independentlyto achieve set goals within a strategic plan.
State licensing may be required to sell Home Security
Preferred
AS/AA or TechnicalCertification in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.).
Experience in telecommunicationsindustry desired, installation experience a plus
1 - 2 years of proven Door-to-door/outside salesexperience highly preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
