Reporting to the Director of Bombardier Specialized Aircraft - the candidate will have the following responsibilities (but not limited to):
Act as the primary engineering specialist for a new and ongoing missionized aircraft programs
Actively support bids & proposals and coordinate responses to customer inquiries
Define the scope and help develop ROM s for new proposals
Lead the engineering effect to establish compliance matrices against customer RFP s & RFQ s
Develop technical requirements documents for external suppliers
Assess supplier proposals from a SWAP-C perspective and down select the appropriate system
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans
Help establish the schedule and manning requirements for new programs
Lead and drive the involvement of multidisciplinary stakeholders to find solutions to technical roadblocks, risks and challenges
Liaise with and lead the activities of other BSA and BA engineering teams on BSA product development
Communicate with stakeholders (customer, senior management, team, resources, supplier) such that there is solid alignment and coordination
Develop certification plans in support of STC submittals
Identify and implement process improvements for BSA engineering
Act as the design authority and final approver of engineering deliverables
Manage schedule, facilitate and coordinate key milestones activities in support of program/project (internal and external)
Responsible to coordinate the supplier activities
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
You hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering
You have a minimum of 10 years of aerospace product development and certification experience
You possess an excellent understanding and relevant experience in the aircraft development environment from conceptual design to aircraft certification, including preferably relevant experience in a flight test environment
You have an excellent understanding of aircraft systems, structures and their interactions
You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skill such that you can communicate, align and influence stakeholders
You exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
You must have proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Project ability to generate and give presentations to various levels in the company
You have a strong technical knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems and special mission equipment
You have knowledge of ITAR regulations and previous experience in government and military flight operations exposure would be considered an asset
You may be required to travel (post-Covid) and work extended hours when required
